Roald Dahl's Witches ( 2020 version)

 

 This movie was a little bit of an embarrassment, as the 80's version was done by Jim Henson's creature workshop and effects. The 2020 version was done by Guillermo Del Toro who had done such movies as Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, The Shape Of Water and let's not forget Hellboy. Also in the 80's version Angelica Huston pulled of an alluring mysterious woman while pulling off her skin to look like a demonic witch from the bowels of hell where as Anne Hathaway in this reboot looked like something batman's joker would even call a wife! Stanley Tucci did a good job dealing with the head witch in this version as did rowan Atkinson his counterpart in the 80's version . That's the only thing that stood out oh that and the role of grandma  Mai Zetterling a Swedish Actress played the role of grandma in the 80's where in the reboot she was played by Octavia Spencer who recently played the psycho in MA. 6 out of 10
