Ratchet and Clank was supposed to be a parody on all Sci-Fi space adventure movies of the 60's i.e. Buck Rodgers, Doctor Who and Flash Gordon. But they needed something to appeal to kids and gamers so they came up with the idea of a future mouse ( replacing the human hero) and a toddler sized robot ( replacing the comedy relief robot sidekick). 9 out of 10, it stayed true to the many games of the series.

Although done to death, in the end you ca always rely on the " Bear Necessities" to save your skin.I give this movie an 8 out of 10 because Christopher Walken in the portrayal of King Louie played it as a long extinct species called a Giganicus Simius an Orangutan that existed in the Mesozoic Era, and is now long since extinct and in the 1960's cartoon he was just an overweight ape. There was no reason to change anything about that.
