This is based on real events that actually happened to Iowa City West during their journey to a back to back state volleyball title in 2011. One of their setter's a senior named Caroline " line" Found was found dead in a moped accident while riding to the hospital to see her mother who was hospitalized for cancer. Caroline's mother happened to be very influential in west's victories also by attending games making dinner for the varsity and junior varsity teams also when they lost a game she would give words of encouragement and dry their tears. It was a rocky road to get back together but they came up with 2 things that propelled them to their final goal, 1. Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond and a saying
