In the 1970s and ‘80s, action-adventure and superhero comics and cartoons were at creative and commercial peaks! Superstar creators—including Jack Kirby, Gil Kane and Steve Gerber—worked in both media. Today, animator Tom Cook, who worked on popular cartoons including Superfriends, He-Man, Thundarr and The Smurfs) and writer-editor Danny Fingeroth (whose comics credits include Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man and The Avengers) discuss what was going on in the parallel worlds of comics and cartoons of the era, their experiences creating characters and stories, and about working with greats such as Hanna Barbera, Lee, Claremont and Ditko.

12:00-12:45PM THE ART OF SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON PRODUCTION WITH ANIMATOR/DIRECTOR TOM COOK (ROOM 305)
Wizard World is proud to present world-renown animator Tom Cook (Tarzan; Flash Gordon; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe; She-Ra Princess of Power). This panel will be a demonstration of the steps taken to bring an idea from script to screen. Cook will begin with a short story of how he became an animator back in the late 1970s and then describe the different departments in an animation studio and what they do to move the development of the cartoon forward. Tom will have a few scenes he has worked on over the years on video and then will open the floor for questions about either the process or any other question you may have. So come out and see first-hand how your favorite cartoons were made.

Internationally award-winning cosplayer, Mogchelle, will be leading this panel, which will also include a demo of how to create hair wefts, and how to add them to your wigs to create extra highlights and volume, and various affordable wig care and styling products.
